Organizations

An organization puts everyone on your company’s email domain in one place: company documents and one bill.

Create one

On Settings, Organization: a name up to 100 characters and a short name of a–z, digits and hyphens, up to 40. Manage it on your organization page. One organization per account.

Signing in with a company email does it for you. If nobody on your domain has an organization yet, you get one named after the domain, you are its owner and it starts a 30-day trial. If your domain has one, you join it. Public mail services like gmail.com or outlook.com never make an organization.

Domains and invitations

Anyone who signs in with an email on one of your domains joins, now and later. Add up to 20 domains; a domain belongs to the first organization that added it, and public mail domains can’t be added. To bring in someone outside your domains, invite them by email: the link works for 7 days.

The first domain is included in the Company plan; each extra one is $15 a month while billing is active, free during the trial.

Roles

RoleWhat it does
ownerOne per organization, its creator. Invites, edits domains, changes roles, removes anyone, hands ownership over, manages billing.
adminInvites, edits domains, removes members, manages billing.
memberPublishes, reads and comments on company documents.

Anyone but the owner can leave. A person on a company domain is always in its organization, so removing a member, or leaving, deletes that account with all its documents. An owner with other members hands ownership over before deleting their account.

Company documents

visibility: "company" opens a document to all members and to anyone who signs in with an email on your domains. You can still add people from outside by email, and anyone else can ask for access from the link.

The company pays one price, whatever the number of members: see Billing.
